Car Accidents

It is extremely important to gather evidence of a car accident and your injuries.  Taking the right steps as soon as possible can help protect your health and strengthen any legal claim.  If you have been involved in a car accident, you should: 

• Call 911 immediately to report the car accident to the police or attend at the nearest police station to file a collision report;
• Exchange insurance and contact information with the other driver, and if possible, take photos of their driver’s license, registration, and insurance documents;
• Identify any witnesses at the accident scene and obtain their names and contact information;
• Take photographs of the accident scene, including your vehicle and all other vehicles involved, the license plates of all vehicles involved, the street view with road signs if possible, the road conditions, and any nearby signage;
• Notify your insurer of the accident as soon as possible; and
